Linux comes in various distros that differ in UI, functionality, and what else. Of the dozens of Linux distributions out there, however, Ubuntu is obviously the flag bearer.
One could argue that it's because of the deep pockets that its owner, Canonica, has. Perhaps it is true, as it is marketed itself well enough that, for some users, Ubuntu has become synonymous with Linux.
I'm sure, however, that is' more than just that. Let's try to understand why.
