What Does LibGC really do?

07/17/10 06:04
Libgc is a conservative garbage collector library the scans a program's data from time to time and marks all heap objects in use. It frees objects which hasn't been marked, once it has marked all heap object reachable through pointers. This is designed so applications will not be using a lot of dynamic memory, won't spend much time in unnecessary garbage collection. It also has its own memory allocator that works efficiently.
